Ferrit

Product no.: Ferrit

Hard ferrite magnets are differentiated between barium ferrite (BaFe) and strontium ferrite (SrFe) magnets. These magnets are inexpensive and have good magnetic properties. Hard ferrite magnets correspond in hardness and brittleness to a ceramic material and can only be machined with diamond tools. The material is extremely resistant to environmental influences and chemical influences, such as. B. solvents, alkalis, salts, weak acids, lubricants and harmful gases.

Injected hard ferrites are typical composite materials that are created by embedding hard ferrite powder in thermoplastic materials (matrix material PA6, PA12). In the case of injected hard ferrite magnets, a magnetic field is additionally applied in the axial, radial, diametric or multipolar direction during the injection. This anisotropy enables higher magnetic values to be achieved, which, however, do not reach the level of sintered anisotropic hard ferrite magnets. The mixing ratios of ferrite and plastic can also influence the elasticity and strength of the magnet.
